Does anyone know the name of the US Sniper who got a Medal of Honor but was not acting as a sniper at the time. The most I know is he was out on a mission and something happened and he got a Medal of Honor for something not related to being a sniper. Do a history paper and I once heard about this guy and thought it was a cool story but can't remember his name.

Well, the only one I know about are Randy Shugart.
During Battle for Mogadishu. Randy was a Delta Force sniper, and he is one of the ones who went down to help protect pilot Mike Durant.
Sadly he was killed in action, but was rewarded for his actions that day.
