Someone who went AWOL from the military, became a desserter, was apprehended for 3 days, sent to Ft. Knox and given an OTH discharge and sent home needs to have a background check done.
What exact details will show up on the background check.

Additional Details:
The person described here is trying to start his life over despite a major screw up he can't go back and fix. He is trying to get his Pharmacy License within the state which requires a background check. This has nothing to do with hiring, just the license process. How could that result?

Absolutely agree with that. The Separation code was not "EKD" (Awol/Dessertion) instead it was "KFS" (For the good of the service, in lieu of court martial).

The arrest warrant for desertion is absolutely show up on a background check.
Any smart employer who sees that he had a desertion warrant will ask to see his DD-214. |
