Military benefits cover one cosmetic surgery?

I doubt it's true but i heard that my military health benefits will cover one cosmetic surgery. I'm thinking of getting my tattoos removed it would be great if it got covered! Is this true?

no it is not true. the only cosmetic surgeries that are performed are for medically necessary reasons. there are a small number of hospitals that will offer them just becuase but the list is quite long..often over 2 years and you must jump through MANY hoops to include a Psych consult to get on the list.

they offer it to keep their surgeons in practice,. I doubt that tattoo removal would even qualify.

Military benefits do cover SOME cosmetic surgeries but tattoo removal isn't one of them. Sorry man :-(
