Military branch right one for me?

i want to join the military next year im just stuck on what branch i want to join the air force or the army or the marines i want to do something with police or search and rescue? any ideas and why

Harold,
You are getting bad scoop. You can be an MP in any service. Search and rescue, depending on which type, can be done in any service also. How hard do you want to train? If you want to go the easiest route go air force. For really decent search and rescue join the coast guard. If you want to have the toughest training and work around Cops be a Marine.
Oh and also the pay and benefits are the same in all the branches. The pay increases come from promotions. Army is probably the quickest promoting with the air force being the slowest.

CSAR (Search & Rescue) events are typically held by the Air Force. We use HC-130P, A-10, HH-60G, etc. typically for that type of mission. As an enlisted personnel you wont be able to fly the planes but you could still go Imagery Analysis, Radio Op, Loadmaster, etc. Also, there are also the Elite of the Elite - USAF Spec Ops: Pararescue, Combat Controller, and TAC-P. Majority of our Spec Ops teams are used for CSAR missions.
As for Police, you could be Security Forces. Its not a bad job, but you will likely be cruising around the base handing out tickets. Some bases may even have you stationed at a missile silo all shift long. It depends on the mission of the base. |

you should probably look at the airforce or army, i have a cousin that has a police type job in the air force, or could be an MP in the army |

The Air Force is always a great option. You'll get the most pay and benefits for the same job you would be doing in any other branch and the Air Force is usually deployed to the safest foreign bases when it comes to that. |
