First off. I admit I was a sh***y solider (ARMY). I went A-wall because of family problems. Was not mentally stable at the time. I apologize to my country.
I was wondering if I am eligible for any kind of benefits from the government. Or maybe some job placement.
These are some of the codes on my DD214. I was in for around 9 months. This was in 2002.
Honorable Discharge
AR 635-200, Chap 11
Separation code JGA
Reentry code 3
Narrative reason for separation: Entry level performance and conduct
Anything you can tell me about these codes would be appreciated. Thank you.

You will get Nothing from the VA...Nothing...
as it is classed as an Entry Level Discharge...
You forgot to deduct the number of days you were AWOL...
Your RE 3 Code would not be Waivered
Neither would your JGA Code... |

The important thing I see is the honorable discharge. It says you left early the phrase Entry level performance and conduct. Reentry code 3

JGA - Entry level status performance and conduct or entry level status performance - pregnancy
Under the VA rules you are considered a "veteran" if you have 181 days of active federal service and an honorble discharge. However you would not be eligible for much. Talk to a VA rep. |
