okay so my boyfriend left for basic training (fort jackson, SC) april 9 and last time I heard from him was almost 2 weeks ago and he said he was at his last days of reception. im wondering is he only aloud to call and write home? or will he be able to call me(his gf) bc I know if he had a choice he would choose me over his mom. also should i be worried that I haven't gotten a letter yet?? please help!

Its fine just be patient he will write when he is allowed to....There in boot camp right now not fun camp they cant do just whatever they want.... It is all when the person above them says they can... And i know what you mean about him choosing you over his mom my husband chose me over his mom i was the only one he wrote and called but i also had his 2yr old son at home and was 8 mnths pregnant with his daughter, so i know why i was chosen over the mom lol he still wrote her and stuff and would send it with my letters and i would always take them over to her... But anyways just be patient the time will come and he will write you and call you... GOOOD LUCK |

He will only be able to write you for the first few weeks, but they will allow them to call home eventually. They have to earn the privilege. That will all change when he graduates though, it will be like a normal job. He will have a barracks room, and he will be allowed to have a phone line hooked up, or have a cell phone if he wants to. It is kind of like living in a college dorm. |

He will send you a letter with his address if he wants you to write him. He can also call whoever he wants during phone time. |

No, he WOULDN'T choose you over his mom. MOM is THE WOMAN in most guys' lives. My first letter home from boot was to MOM (and dad).
By the way, you're a non-person as far as the Army is concerned. His MOM is REAL to them, YOU'RE not.
I hope you don't think he's CHEATING on you!
