Treat him like your brother - he still is |

He's only been gone four months..not a big deal, he hasn't changed all that much in that amount of time. Treat him like your brother, love and respect. My son spent 3 years in Iraq (Infantry) and he hasn't changed! |

Treat him exactly the same as you did before he went away. It is important that he knows that life is exactly the same back home. If he starts to talk about the things that he has seen, listen to him and try to support him as best you can.

Like your brother. |

He is not JUST your brother. He is your soldier brother.
Hug and kiss but not over the top.
Don't ask too many questions, he is home for rest and recreation.
Good luck to you both. |

I would just treat him like I would any other day |

Just treat him as if he was gone on a trip and just got back. If you try to placate him by doing this and that for him , you might get a reaction that you don't want. Just treat him like you always did and he will love it. If he wants to talk about any thing, he will on his own. In some cases its best not to ask. Good luck and tell him UUUURAHHH. |

Be yourself, don't bully him for him details. If he wants to open up about his observations or what he has done or not done, let him. Otherwise, find one of your gal pals to do him a favor. |

Just treat him the same way you did before he left. And, don't pressure him to do anything. |

give him a hug, he'll love it. or make him make the move first and if he doesn't go for it |

Same as you normally would, dont expect him to answer questions about what he has seen or done, my brother in law still hasnt told my sister a quater of what he saw or did out there, if he wants to talk he will. fill him in on any news, take him for a drink just be yourself. |

Go over the top if you feel the need..you have worried about him...get it out of your system then treat him like normal.
As harrowing as it must be being a serving soldier on the frontline he needs to know that you are proud of him, worry about him and want him to come home but then he'll need his own space as any young man does!!. |

Treat him as normal.
Be proud of him.
Not every one can be like him out there in the real world for the good of mankind in the creation of peace on earth goodwill to men.
Welcome him home with pride.

Give him a Christmas present and a hug. |

Cupids-Torture

Treat him like normal, anything else would just make him feel a bit alienated.
And dont ask about it, if he wants to talk, he will, but you need to be prepared to be very understanding and comforting.
My friend was over there last year, he still wont talk about it, its upsetting for him. |

With respect. If there's something he doesn't want to do, don't push the issue. |

Treat him as as if you just hadn't seen him in months and not like he's been in Afghan. Give space, let him steer the conversations don't go round telling everyone he's back from Afghanistan. He's on holiday, you don't want to talk about work on holiday. Let him have one big blow out on booze if he wants. let him lie in in the mornings and introduce him to some single female friends. |

when he gets back he is going to be happy not to be getting up at 4 in the morning just give him a little space unless he ask's let him rest for a bit and till him merry chrstmas and welcom him to the new year ....but just treat him the same as you did before he left ...unless you were mean to him...then just a little nicer. |

I think if you just welcome him back with happiness and joy and enthusiasm everything will be fine. Be yourself. Even better, be the self that learned how to spell while he was gone. |

Tell him that you Love him and are very proud of him.Dont make him envious of any of your acheivments since he left.Go out and have a great night together. |

Try and be the same, but dont crowd him, he probably will just want to catch up with gossip and his mates. He is only back for 1 week. |

Just be aware that he may need his own space from time to time, and don't be offended if he does. |
