Fast won't cut it unless you pay around $200. The U.S. Post office is where you go to apply for a passport. Good luck. "fast usually constitutes 5-7 business days" Normal is about 60-90 days. |

He has been in Iraq and is now going to Germany because he is injured? Try the local Red Cross or recruiters office of the branch he is serving in. They should know if there is a better way for her to get there quickly. Shy of that, contact your state representative to Congress and tell them the situation. They may be able to help. |

you can get a passport at any post office, unfortunately there are no perks for her. she is not "military anyway because she is not married. I am in the army. she just needs to call your local post office and ask exactly what she needs to bring with her. The U.S. is very strict on passports now so it may take up to a week to get one.
I hope your daughters fiance is ok and we are praying for him |

pasports in general are taking 6-8 weeks to process, or you can spend an extra few bucks and get one expedited in about 2 weeks. Regular PP cost is $96, expedited considerably more.
there are no discounts on PP costs, not even to military personnel. in any event, she does not qualify as she is not a dependant. |

There are no military perks, even if there were, your daughter would not qualify because she is neither in the military nor a dependent of a service member. |

I never had to apply for expidited passport, so I can't top the answers given already.
It's true that there won't be any military breaks for her since she's not a spouse. Have her check with the Red Cross to see if there's anything they can possibly do, though, just in case.
Also have her look into the Fisher House program. I know they have one in Landstuhl (if that's where he's going), and if she can get into that she'll have free or discounted lodging while she's there.
I hope he's okay and I wish you all the best. |

The fastest you may get a passport is within 2 weeks. That is expedited service. Normally, they take 6 weeks. The cost is around $160.00
I do not know if they have special deals or even faster expedition for military families. I just got a passport myself on expedited service, that's how I know.
Your daughter needs to show up, in person, at a passport accepting site (there's a list online from the government website for passports) with a copy of her birth certificate, the money, and all the appropriate forms filled out.
I hope this helps! |

She will have to go to the Post Office and get one since she is not a spouse. I'm a military spouse and we were stationed overseas once and it took them months to get my child a passport and she and I got left behind for a while and I had to do the move on my own. You are better just dealing with the Post Office. |

You can file a passport application at any post office. The fees vary, but should be around $50.00 for the application. The pictures cost more. Get them done professionally (like at Kinko's ... $12.99 for 2) so that you won't be rejected. (ANY problem with the picture will get you a rejected application.) You can overnight your application/pictures, but that's as speedy as it will get. I don't believe there are any military discounts, but if there are they probably won't apply to your daughter (seeing as how they are not yet legally married). Good luck. |

All of the fees: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/fees/fees_837.html
The application (if its not a renewal): http://travel.state.gov/passport/forms/ds11/ds11_842.html |

there are benifits, if they were married, but you can hurry the process along for a nonminal fee. a passport costs around $90. and you go to your local county clerk office to get it. make sure you bring a birth certificate, and a SS# card. also bring passport photo's. They can be done at a drug store like CVS Eckerds Rite Aide, ect.... that cost i think $5 |

i think you can get express service in a week or two, you apply at the local post office with the proper forms and papers. may have to go to at least a fairly small cities post office depending on your town. no perks to have really, there's a fee but it's not much. uncle sam is not kind. without a passport, papers can be arranged but despite your situation you are not unusual. You may need a visa to go to germany, this is normally gotten from the german embassy in any major city and if you arrive early can be done after lunch. You can send away for a visa but have to wait for mail 2 ways and processing. Although with our regular military presence there you may not need a visa if traveling with them. |

If he is still in the States she needs to marry him right away then she can be shipped for free and get her visa and orders. |

I know you can go to walmart to get your picture for passport . I don't know if they also give you the actual passport . You might just want to call up your airport or travel agency . They would know for sure . |

If she is going to Germany on military business (medical is considered military business), then she doesn't need a passport. If she is being discharged for medical reasons, she will be given paid transportation to her home of record, which also should not require a passport. If she wants a passport anyway, she can get one from any U.S. consulate, provided she show two forms of identification and has the fee (typically about $60). There are no deals given to service members. Citizens are citizens. |
