I think he may need to go to the doctor and get meds and evaluated for why he is acting this way. He started after he had to go for two week training. I can hardly say anything to him without him snapping at me or the kids. He says he wish he was dead because the kids and i would be better off. He has some health problems from the first time that are just now showing up and he said if he goes to the
VA now that they wouldnt pay him as if they would if he got hurt while over there. His knees and ankles are hurting him because he has been training and having to run and its just starting to flair up and get worse. He said he would just wait and get them to check it out over there to see how bad they are. I think if he is hurting and have been having problems since the first tour back in 2003-2004 that he should still get a disability for it.

Suggest he take aleve or aspirin or ibuprophen to help his knees. It really helps. Definitely have him go to the doc about the mood swings. It is normal to have mood swings after returning, but they can be treated and life can be normal again. Good luck. |

Sounds like he has Severe PTSD ???
Also sounds Suicidial and needs to speak with
a Doctor ASAP...Like Today...Like Right Now !!!!
He can get Compensation for any and all injuries
that occurred anytime in the Service...
There is No Time Limit...
You need to get copies of all of his Medical Records...
He can obtain them... |

Tell him not to worry about how much pay he's getting, his health is more important and he needs to get help.
Just encourage and reassure him. I don't know what he experienced, but you can't usually go wrong with that. Also, try to remember that it's not personal, and it's not about you. Whatever is causing him to freak out is beyond your control. If possible, try to recognize the early stages of his bad mood swing and get the kids out of the house. Send them to a friend's or to visit gramma or something. They won't understand why daddy is mad at them, so try to avoid that problem. |

Your husband definitely needs to have both his physical and mental health issues taken care of ASAP.
He also needs to have all these issues recorded in his health records before he is discharged. All that will help when he applies for a pension due to PTSD. |

when you get home you get about a million letters from the VA to visit them for free and if he is in the reserves he can still go into the military medical system and claim a LOD |
