He put down Germany, Hawaii, and then Italy. And he is Cavalry Scout if that information is necessary. Oh, and just in case you need to know, we have no children- as of now it's just the two of us.

You have the best chance of getting HI then Germany and then Italy.
It depends on how many CAV units are at a base and if they are a priority fill.
HI has 3 I think, Germany 2 and Italy may not even have one, I think the 173rd Cav may have moved to Germany.
If you asked for Fort Hood Texas you would be good to go. |

Basically your husband is going to be assigned to a unit, that has been notified of deployment and that needs a cav scout right out of AIT.
If there is a unit in Germany, italy or Hawaii that fits those qualifications, then your good to go.
But the assignment priority out of AIT, is to fill the manning roosters of units that have been notified of thier next deployment,
Then only after those units roosters have been filled, do they assign people somewhere else. |

There is a reason it is called a wish-list. It has no bearing on where the army stations your husband. I didn't even fill mine out when I was in and I actually got stationed where I wanted. My dad had a similar experience when he was in. He put down the three places he definitely didn't want to go and luckily for him was sent elsewhere. |

Germany is possible, Hawaii is possible with 2-25 SBCT, but Italy is unlikely. Unless he is going to Airborne. As it is, 19D airborne authorizations are limited to begin with. However, as stated below, it will depend on what the Army needs to fill for the rotations and whether his selections match those needs. |
