My husband left for Air Force Basic Training Mar. 29 and I'm curious to know when his graduation will be.?

I know basic training for the air force is 8 weeks now, but when will I receive any information about when his graduation date actually is so I have plenty of time to make arrangements to go? Will my husband act any different towards me once he's through boot camp? I know he has to act a certain way while his T. I. 's are around, but will it change his personality any towards me? This is one thing that I have worried about, we are totally in love, but I just worry that he'll be a lot different. It's hard not getting to talk to him, how many letters are they allowed to write and are they allowed to call on holidays like Easter? I've written him a letter everyday since I got his address. What should I expect during his graduation? He's going to Keesler AFB after basic for Air Traffic Control and I was wondering how long the school and training is for that also? We were told 72 days, not counting weekends but I've heard a lot of different things. Will he get to come home any during his tech school and if so, how long? Does he get to make phone calls?

Any information will greatly be appreciated but I would like for all of my questions to be answered! Thank you very much!

There is a lot of information on that site. It actually has a schedule so you can follow your loved one week by week. Also has advice to what hotels to stay at if you decide to go to graduation. I know exactly how you are feeling. My husband left February 23rd and will be graduating April 24th. Don't worry time will go fast. So far, I have only received two phones call, which he is only allowed 10 minutes to talk. His first call wasn't until week 3. As for letters, he doesn't have much time to write, but I have received one a week after he was there for 2 weeks. Graduation information came about 2 weeks after he was there as well as my DEERS enrollment. As for him changing, it really depends on the person. My husband hasn't changed any at least from what I can tell. I hear a lot of people on other forums say that they will become more of a "man" and such, but if any change happens, it probably will only be for the better. I'm only wasting my time on this question because my husband left for Iraq yesterday. If you are married to him, you should know who he is and 8 weeks of anything is not going to change him. YOU know him better than we do. This is common sense here, basic training is not a life altering event. I went to basic training almost 3 years ago for the army, it is not that big of a deal. Relax, he will call you AS SOON as he can. You will know about 2-3 weeks in advance the exact date, if not sooner. When my father was an air traffic controller in the army, his AIT was one year, so was my mom's who was the same. You can write him as much as you like and he can write you as much as he likes, all he has to do is buy stamps. His graduation is going to be similar to high school graduation. Sorry I sounded rude, but this question is beyond common sense. This isn't a concentration camp.

Do the math. he will Graduate on a friday. Add 8 weeks from Friday April 3rd. That will be May 29th.

You should get some info in the mail anyday now saying his graduation day and directions and some rules.

Yes he will act more like a man. He will most likely be able to call on Easter and letters depend on his TI.

YOu should expect alot of walking and standing at his graduation and be as supportive as possible during the Airmans run. That will be the first time you get to see him and you are allowed to cheer his name as he runs by. It get pretty emotional.

ATC tech school is 72 days not counting weekends or holidays or down fridays. So that will equal to like 20 weeks.

No he wont be allowed to go home during tech school unless you live within 250 miles of keesler. He can take leave after tech school. Yes he can have his cell phone in tech school.

My husband left on that exact same day! i just got the date today apparently the ceremony day starts on a thursday May 26th we get some time with him until sunday.
