My spouse was convicted of a misdemeanor. Do I have to share this with the military?

My wife was just issued a court date for trespassing. She was fishing off of someones dock late at night and was caught. We hired a lawyer and are taking a plea deal to trespassing, which is a misdemeanor, and she will have to pay a fine. This will happen in solicitors court on July 2nd. On the 25th we are moving to Germany and will be stationed there for three years. We are still waiting on command sponsorship and our passports to come back in.
Will her misdemeanor affect this? And I don't want to let the military know b/c I am an officer and I don't want her irresponsibility affecting me personally. Do I have to tell them? Will they find out?

You're in the military, I assume she isn't . You're being sent to Germany on orders, basically she's just going along for the ride. I'd say no. |

If you don't mention it and the military finds out, things could be much worse. Since it is a misdemeanor, it might not lead to any significant punishment. It might just be a warning to go in the records file.
BTW, this is your wife. You are linked by marriage. What she does will affect your JOINT partnership. |
