I am interested in joining the National Guard, but I want to know when I will start getting paid. So... when?

depends on how fast you get into RSP and when you go to Basic training. Usually you get paid about 10 days after your RSP, but when you go to basic, it can take up to a month to get your money. When you get to basic they load about $250 on a card so you can buy all you need while you are there, and then they take it out your first paycheck

every month before basic training you will go to rsp (recruit sustainment program) for a weekend. each month you go you will be paid. i enlisted earlier this month and will go to rsp next weekend, but i might not be paid because of paperwork and other things haven't made it through yet.

You will get paid when you work. i.e. your drills before basic will be when you first get paid. Once you get back from AIT most of your education benefits kick in.

you will get paid 2 times a month while at basic (boot camp) and at tech school.

After that when you get back to your normal life and you do your drill weekend once a month, you will get paid a month after that, every month.
