Navy, Marine Infantry, or Army?

i am really leaning toward marine 0311 but i want to give navy and army a chance. if i joined the navy i wouldnt be able to be a seal because i am color blind. thats why im leaning toward marines. i really want to join soon, i am a junior in highschool. should i go to college first. i dont want to be an officer

Honestly, if you want to join the Marine Corps, then join the Marine Corps. The Marines is more than just the infantry so do look at all the jobs available. If you are looking at Infantry for sure, and are jsut wondering what branch, then the Marine Corps is the way to go. From the fact that the Marine Corp has the longest basic training, to the fact that every Marine regardless of job, goes through Marine Combat training. It is more than jsut the infantry but it the backbone that every other job supports. If you are still in school, then talk to a recruiter, because there are many many ways to get an education in the Marine Corps, or get your education paid by the Marines |

I decided to volunteer when I was a junior in high school. I wanted to go to Vietnam just like all my older buddies in the neighborhood. Right after grad, I was on a plane to San Diego. The Marines made me a successful person plus I finished college after my service years. Any service branch can be good. It is up to the person if they want to succeed. Sounds like you plenty of time to do some research. Its branch has its pros's and con's. Figure about what bests suits you and go for it |

You can't be an infantryman (0311) if you are colorblind. There is color coded ammunition you need to be able to recognize. Talk to your recruiters about what you can do though. |
