Navy Seals or SAS? which is bigger and which is better?

I'm sorry. I guess I don't understand the question.

Bigger? Size? Number?

Better? Stronger? Faster? In the water? On land? Better trained? Weapons? CQC? CT? More versatile? Better equipped? Who can jump off a higher cliff without being splattered? Who can leap taller buildings in a single bound?

You can probably find those answers somewhere on the myriad Web sites. If you can't, maybe they don't want you to know. From some of the answers, they really have the lay-population confused (SEALs,,, three years training... SF Bay... uh huh... SAS... two years training in each environment... oh yeah). It's ok, as long as somebody doesn't post anything negative, they don't mind much... even if the poster pretends to have military experience. Positive misinformation enhances the image... improves the legend. Just don't pretend to be one of them... Many take a rather dim view of that.

If you mean who could win if they were to fight? It isn't likely to happen, so the question's moot.

the SAS. they are the mother of all elite military units, constructed during ww2. im american, but i have to hand it to them, what they do is a lot worse then navy seals. their training is set in in a few different places around the world, as navy seals are only in San Fransisco bay. i think sas has 2 years in each environment. they do some things that even SEALs have declined. they're trained to fire at deadly accuracy from the hip, for a faster kill. they're meant to work behind enemy lines, and a lot of other top secret information about them no one but them knows. they wear gas masks cause i think they use chemical warfare.. that's pretty badass.

don't listen to what people say about seals being better, they're just saying it cause they don't know much about SAS or just being patriotic. especially about how they're only trained for urban settings. they have a boot camp in the desert of Namibia Africa.

Bigger- Navy Seals

Better- SAS.

the Navy Seals are just like US Army Special Forces. So they are pretty good at what they do.

But SAS is better than navy Seals.

British SBS is more comparable to the navy Seals.

SAS is comparable to Delta Force.

Delta Force is the US militaries top counter terrorism unit, and it was based/ created of the British SAS.

so SAS is better than seals.

But i am Sure in numbers, there are a quite some more Seals, than SAS.

now if you wanted to talk about Navy DevGRU, then that is more comparable.

defiantly Navy seals there the best of the best they can attack by land, air. sea and they have the toughest training there is just buds is 6 months just to see if they qualify

SAS is bigger and been around since WW ll. The Seals since the early 60s. But the U.D.T. training been around WW ll. As for who better they are both top notch outfits who can open a can of "whup ***".

of course we can't really answer your question accurately, but i'd say the SAS is better. we modeled our special forces after them.

The Navy Seals. They are a larger fighting force. They are also better trained. They are also trained for longer periods of time ( it takes a Navy Seal 3 years to complete his training), and they are trained to fight in any kind of environment where the SAS is mainly urban.
