Einstein didn't even know the answer to that, but he assures us that the FOURTH world war will be fought with sticks and stones. Makes sense.

Fortunately Einstein could see through the politics of war and continue to raise our consciousness of science.

Addendum: There are many, many wars being fought all over the world NOW. I would say it has already started. I suppose an accidental "slip of the finger" nuclear missle training exercise where a missle is actually launched, and which obliterates a major population center will have to occur to make it official for history's fondness of dates.

I think sometime within the next 15-20 years war will begin on a mass scale over basic needs; water, oil, clean land and political stupidity, etc..
Antisemitism is on the rise big time in Russia and in Europe. Race wars may very well ignite it, but it will likely begin in or near the middle east and who will be on whose sides is anyones guess. I think most of us will be surprised at who our allies will actually be. I have a hunch that the people we think of as enemies now may very well be our closest allies out of necessity not because we like each other.
Just a guess.. I could be way off and sincerely hope i am for my kids sake and my grand kids. I'll be toward the end of my life so it doesn't scare me much, but I do fear for young people.

It will only take one nuclear weapon to be used to start such a war and it will not be too far down the pike and will be in the name of someone's God.

The times look right for the latter.

The "beginning of the end" will likely have something to do with the malicious, evil, murderous acts of the extremist Muslims.

God has said that he will only allow so much evil before he replaces this wicked system with his "New World" spoken of in the Bible.

2011. Id say if anything it will start with India and Pakistan attacking one another.Neighboring nations will either stay neutral(of which I hope all of them do) or one will aid either Pakistan or India resulting in a case of World War 1 syndrome where allies stack up on one another making a small war into a large one.If this is so the violence would spread from the Pacific Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, and the Indian Ocean to the Black Sea.If the war were to escalate,countries in the Americas would take up arms to aid their allies resulting in combat along Central ,and South America.Africa could also be threaten by its nations with already bad relations doing the same thing.
In my prediction the third world war at its height will be fought in Asia,Africa,North America(central) and South America leaving a death toll of about 210 million people.Mostly civilian casualties.
This war would probably be the last won for about a 50 year period.

WWIII won't start for a long long time. It would take a very strong nation to start a world war. And right now, the strongest nations on the planet are working more with each other than against each other. The US, Russia, China, and the EU are all big time trading allies. A war between any two of those entities would destroy every one of their economies. Right now, each of them are more worried about terrorism than each other. And they're all helping each other out against terrorism. Iran might be able to spark a social conflict between the US and Russia, because Russia is one of their allies. But a war wouldn't break out between the two.

The next world war may be fought over anything; land, natural resources, fossil fuels, genocide, ect. But it will not be fought in our lifetime.

If it didn't already start, with the war on terror, then I'd say that it will begin over fresh water or food.

World war 3 will be primarily over the nuclear bomb, terrorism and oil. The Russians will have an alliance with Iran. All the terrorist groups will likely band together in realization of their overall goals and priorities. The Chinese will probably join with the Russians and Iranians. Venezuela and many South American countries will probably help out the Russians and terrorists. All of Nato will join with the United States. All of North America will join the United States

So my guess is United States, North America, and Nato vs Russia, China, Venezuela, and most of the terrorist organizations.

It will be over nuclear bombs, terrorism, and oil.

Most people will say based off of the biblical text the middle east terrorism etc. My guess would be Asia and it would be war with China my reasoning for this is because the only other country in the world that could sustain a war long enough will be the new super power China. My guess is within the next 50-100 years. China has had a technological boom in the last couple decades and increase to their military budget and they are basically the tool chest of the world.

All the countries will get involved with the terrorism in India. Knowing them, they will want to be independent, as well as Iraq does. With alliances being made, and nerves being pressed, a WW3 in inevitable. Mostly over countries wanting to be independent but other countries forcing themselves to help those countries in need to prove that their a super power.
