Proud Military Wife of SFC at Base Kalsu,Iraq! Hooah!!!!
I HATE Bush,But support our troops!
All the way through it says "him" but don't forget "Her" too....
Your alarm goes off; you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes.
He stays up for days on end.
-- --
You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
-- --
You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.
He gets shot at, as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
-- --
You put on your anti war/"don't support the troops" shirt, and go meet up with your friends.
He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.
-- --
You make sure your cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
-- --
You talk trash on your "buddies" that aren't with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
-- --
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
-- --
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.
-- --
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He does not get to eat today.
-- --
Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.
He wears the same things for months, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
-- --
You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.
-- --
You are angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He is told he will be held an extra 2 months.
----
You call your girlfriend and set a date for that night.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
-- --
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
-- --
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.
-- --
You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own government and remembers why he is fighting.
-- --
You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of the men like him.
He hears the gun fire and bombs.
-- --
You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the bodies lying around him.
-- --
You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.
He does what he is told.
-- --
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call and write home, sleep, and eat.
-- --
You crawl into your bed, with down pillows, and try to get comfortable.
He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gun fire.
-- --
You sit there and judge him, saying the world is a worse place because of men like him. If only there were more men like him |

1 st marine division, I CORPS, republic of Viet Nam, 1968... the only way to "win" (end) THIS present war is to kill EVERY islamo-nazi in the world. they are willing to die for their perverted "theology," and we MUST help them to do just that... |

Anyone who has, does, or plans on serving is deserving of respect. It is an honor to serve your country, one that not everyone wants and that is fine. |

My Husband is a Sergent in the marine corps currently stationed in Iraq, and yes I say scream to the heavens how brave they are but (maybe this is just me tooting my own horn here) But maybe alittle bit more for the families at home. I love that my Husband has the support of a nation behind him, I'm just tired of being treated like everything should be OK for me because hes over seas and I'm not so why should i complain? I'm not saying they should give us a medal, I'm just saying how about aliitle bit more help while they are gone. (Lawn mowers are hard to push) |

I went into the Army because I was a grown up and made that choice for myself, not because I was looking for pats on the back like some kid at a talent show. I didn't want people to oppose me for my decision but neither did I expect them to bend over and kiss my butt either. Frankly, my paycheck and help with college was all the thanks I was looking for, thank you very much. There are plenty of Americans who are a vital and valuable part of our society like teachers, doctors and accountants, I don't see people patting them on the back. If you want to praise our men and women in uniform why does it have to be in light of "terrorism" or "the war" or in light of anything? If you genuinely want to say thanks then just do it, no need to make a big show out of it. I think Americans support our troops no matter what and no matter where they stand on the war or the president or any of it. To my boys... Hoo Ahh... you know who you are. |

The thing is --- the majority of the people DO support the troops - highly respect you -- regardless of whether we agree with Iraq or Bush. The troops never lost our respect. |

Thank you for your courageous service to promote freedom for the oppressed. All governments that take away basic God given freedoms need to be opposed and toppled as we have the necessary resources and opportunity. I support the work our troops are doing in Iraq for the improvement of their country and freedom of their citizens. I think that Bush is a much better man than many of our past presidents. He seems to be courageous and principled in his leadership of our country. I think most people support him and respect him. God Bless President Bush and God Bless America |

Regardless of what anyone says against this question I agree that all servicemen and women should be applauded and I agree with carisma when she said some support needs to be given to the families of deployed men and women. I personally am not a servicewoman but my brother in law is and I know first hand what a little support can do. SO here is my shout out to both the troops and the families of these brave troops. and to bluenote I give you a standing ovation. Well put!! |

I agree with "butterfliesRfree" on this. I don't support the Iraq war or the administration but I'm so proud of our military. It really is amazing.
Oh, and bluenote2k earned my respect with his comment. |

Actually there was no recent threat it was a propaganda move by MI-6 and the CIA.They arrested a bunch of people who will be detained indefinately and who will eventually be found not guilty, but meanwhile the sheep will cower and allow both Nazi leaders in the UK and the USA to contiue on with this illegal war for oil and profit and The New World Order. But you wave them balls around and grunt a whole lot and make your self feel good.I do admire your support for the troops though as it must be very hard for them. |

Support the soldier not the War... This war was still not necessary. Just look at what it brought out even further. Maybe some research by the administration would have helped. |

Do you really believe that the american sodiers are fighting in Iraq?
They are just killing civilians and sprawling in barracks in the desert.
Those who are on alert are just guarding the oil wells to keep flowing to the bank accounts of Bush and Rumsfeld.
I bet you are too honest to believe! |

Oh I get it.. In the wave of more publicity about terrorism, you want more pats on the back for your military service.
