I could tell you alot of things, but your TDS will tell you everything once your commander decides what will happen to you. You won't be the one requesting a discharge this I do know. |

Hey thanks for turning yourself in! You just helped save the time and $$ it takes to find you. Now your Commander can now wipe your name and AWOL days off his/her dry erase board and write more important stuff. Oh, I don't have to hear your name proceeded by AWOL during roll-call. You saved me a whole 1 min of thinking about you.
I would rather work next to a person who wanted to be in and would not Blue Falcon (by seeking ways to get out all the time and bring down moral) . So do me and my fellow soldiers a favor and get out with out hurting anyone.
LOL: Love it when people think just saying "I'm Gay" gets you out...I'd say prove it. |

DON"T QUIT, STAY IN! Do your country some good! However, if you absolutely insist, then If you want to go off the deep end, you could scream I'm gay and start doing a bunch of gay ****. That will get you discharged immediately. |

you will get punished until they are done punishing you (which I think is more then fair as a wife of a soldier in Iraq) the last guy that went AWOL in his unit returned to his unit and 3 days later was serving ou this punishment time in Iraq until further notice....depends on who's in charge and what they think is fit...he got a pay dock too |

Its not that easy I'm afraid. You can request a discharge all day long and they may or may not give you one. If you can't get out you will need to seek counseling to help you adjust. I understand your position, as I too was in the service during Nam and the stress levels are high. |

I can't believe you went AWOL and asked on Yahoo what to do about it.
Anyway, you can't do much now. Await your trial and determined penalty. You will probably finish your duty but expect some hard times from your comrades. You'll probably spend some time in the latrine.
If you really wear that white beret, won't be hard convincing them you're gay.
Scarlet Letter of War mate. Good luck. |

Yes, you can get a general discharge under honorable conditions.
Good luck with that. |

Hopefully you will get an I'm a complete dumbass discharge. The military would be wise to drop you. Just curious, what did you think you were signing up for? If I were you, I'd just go AWOL again. Why not?
Wow. You are brilliant. You even put that you are at Fort Bliss eh? |

The only way you are going to get out now is on a mental discharge.Tell them that you cannot take the service and you feel like you are going to have a nervous breakdown. They will try to break you but don't let them. If you really can't take the service then they must let you out. You will have to be a good actor. Quite frankly I wouldn't want a guy in my outfit if he feels he can't handle the pressure. |

Request to stay in. The grass is always greener on the other side. Do your twenty and retire. And if you're thinking I don't want to die in a war. Tough **** people die every day on their jobs all across the world. Stay in. 39 is a very nice time to retire. You'll still be young enough to start the second half of your life. You will also have Med/Dental for life as well as a free planting when you expire. |

Wait until your unit is finished giving you your punishment. Your unit doesn't have to kick you out, they can keep you in anyway if they think they can still make use of you. We had a guy go AWOL for three months, came back, and deploy. He originally went AWOL because his wife left him after cheating on him and he tried to get her back. When he wised up he came back and soldiered on. He's still in now and reenlisted during the deployment. If you just get out you will have a hard time getting work with your discharge. |
