Pcs'ing to ft hood soon?

My husband just did his first reenilistment to go to ft hood. He ended up getting it and a bonus. On the ako it says that we are due to report there 2009/11/10. We are currently stationed in germany and weren/t even supposed to leave here until april of 2010 but according to that it has changed. I went on my husbands erb and at the very bottom it says the unit number and organization and station. The station is ft hood and in the organization it says 4ARDIV REPL. I looked that up on ft hoods home page and it is saying its 4th id maybe. I clicked on 4th id and supposedly its moving to ft carson. This 4ARDIV REPL, is this who we are with when we get there or how does that work? I dont want to go to carson, we had our heart set on texas and its what my husband asked for, for his very first reenlistment. I dont know someone please help

As with most posts Ft Hood has what is know as a replacement unit. These are the people that will inprocess your husband when he gets there, not the unit he will stay with more than likely.(this is the unit currently on his ERB) The best way to find out what unit he is going to is for him to call his branch office (if it is not on his orders somewhere and ask them where he is being slotted. They will have a certain position that is vacant against which they are slotting him. This does not mean he will go to that unit but will at a minimum tell him his BDE and DIV.

Please keep in mind that the G-1 on his post can always change this though as has recently happened in my job. As for his new unit, chances are that he will likely go to the 1st CAV (a great and historical unit that has been at Ft Hood for a long time) or the 3rd ACR which is another great unit that recently moved from Ft Carson to Ft Hood.

Either way, don't worry about leaving for Carson. There are a few 4th ID units still there, but they will all be gone before long and your husband is not likely to be assigned to one.

thats a replacement unit. You wont be going to carson, those who are going are already in the process of relocating. FT Hood will have 3rd ACR , 1st cav and 41st Fires plus support units. The 4th ID is going to carson, if your husband was to go to the $th ID he would PCS to carson so dont worry. If you plan on living off post it is worth the drive to live in Belton or Nolanville for the peace of mind, quiet and lower crime rate. There are elements that are already moved to Ft. Carson from 4th ID. Don't worry, you're orders are for Ft. Hood, TX. If you are unsure then I'd advise you to have your husband go to the retention NCO and they'll have contact numbers he may contact and get the scoop for himself. Your orders would be for 4th ID in Ft. Carson if you weren't going to Hood. You're sweating absolutely nothing hon.

Most of the main body is still stationed here at Hood and will continue to be stationed here at Hood. Only a few of them are going to Carson and that will be this August I believe.

These are things that your husband should be asking about, not you. Have him find out what's going on and fill you in when he knows. You're not going to get any answers here, and you're just working yourself up for nothing.
