Why do people say: There's army, then there's army Infantry. I have uncles who are pro-army, and they always say this slogan, they also say "Once a Infantryman always a Infantryman" I thought this was for Marines? I will hopefully be joining in the future, but it pisses me off how they think there so bad ***, arent we all on the same team? So whats this: There's army, then there's army Infantry.

Because the Infantry is usually the branch that is in the heat of the battle and the majority of other soldiers are there to support us. |

well first off.. every mos branch talks you up to make you feel like your the best, so you are a highly motivated soldier and never stop doing what you do.. 2nd off.. if your in the army you are in a certain branch... now if your in the transportation branch, your just a truck drive.. but if you in the infantry branch you are out there kicking doors down, shooting **** up, that is why they call the infantry 11bang bang... and combat engineers 21boom boom |

Everyone in the army is great...but the combat arms guys, especially infantry, go through crap the rest of the army has no clue about. I was army aviation for 6 years and I would NEVER try to say I could do what those infantry guys can. They are bada$$ and the deserve to brag about it. |

its all the same army is army, there are however different positions in the army such as doctors cooks ect. the infantry is just the foot soldiers who are in combat. but yes army is all the same. |

its called 'commrodory', buddy. when you're in the infantry for 8 years, deployed 3 times, lost 4 friends to IED's... you are pretty bad ***.
it has nothing to do with being better than someone else. but when youre in iraq getting shot at for 365 days and theres some non infantry guy like a finance guy who never was shot at, never ate an MRE, you get pretty close to the guys who suffer the same things you do.
