I have no problem getting 45 pushups in a minute and running 1.5 miles in 11:57, but I'm having trouble getting 50 situps in a minute. Currently I am only able to get 42. Do you think I'll be strong enough by the end to get 50 situps? I'm just a little nervous that I won't be able to get that many situps and that I won't graduate just because of that. I leave may fifth.

Those exercises are all out effort in 2 minutes...not 1. Youre going to be fine. |

Don't worry buddy, just train you're chunky @$$ off and you can make it easy. Air Force isn't as hard in basic as some other services. |

trust me you have no problem if you can get that many sit ups YOU WILL BE READY TO GET UP TO 50...or more i was just like you and know it's like butter for me....every morning when you get set up a goal for the day ...like for me i used to say i'd do 1000 a day and like 200...300 push ups a day and you'll probably get Warhawk or Thunderbolt standard |

dude, youre going to be going through 10 weeks of rigorous training and excercise! you will make it! a very slim amount of people who make it to the end for the PT test actually fail, and youre talking about kids who went in the laziest people ever and could actulally pass, if youre motivated youll make it no problem, congrats and good luck |

Do leg lifts, 6-90s, steam engines, bicycle crunches etc. not just when you work out for the day, but if you are watching tv, during the commercials. You'll be able to improve your numbers quickly if you try. Another strategy is to do say 30, then break for 30 sec, do 30 more, repeat several times. Medicine ball abdominal exercises work well too. I'm assuming that you will have 2 minutes max effort as we do in the Navy as well. |
