I know the specifics of comissioning in the military I know the history of occ and I took ROTC through my whole high school career. I wanted to go the academy way but I didn't make it. I am reapplying the year but I wanted to apply for plc to keep the dream going if the academy says no. What's plc like outside if training? Do you get to wear a uniform home or are you in a bdu all training and you can keep this a secrete at home or school?

I go to a very liberal military hating school. Don't like it too much but they pay for me to go and I don't have the money to go anywhere else. There is not NROTC because I would be in it.

You don't wear a uniform at school at all. If you wish, it can be kept a secret. Usually at many schools that have a liberal reputation or that the press portrays as being liberal or even ultra liberal, like Berkeley, the students and Professors aren't nearly as liberal as portrayed or anti-military at all. It is often fringe elements in the surrounding community. I don't know anybody in Berkeley who is a student or professor who is anti military or thinks anything bad about rotc/afrotc/nrotc/nrotc mo cadets and mids wearing a uniform on campus or in the town. It's only these crazy radical fringe types who have been hanging around here since the 60's and have no official connection to the university, or others who come here from out of town and wish they had been around to cause trouble in the 60's.

PLC is ONLY during the summer. And you're training at Quantico, VA, where you wear PT Gear or cammies.
Prior to leaving for PLC, you might exercise or do some events with the Marines at the OSO but you don't wear any Marine attire for this or are given any, just gym clothes. |

No, when you're not at PLC you're just a college student. You don't wear your uniform unless there's something wrong with you. Why do you want to keep it a secret? |
