Can you please all leave some nice comments of support for all our troops so that I can leave them all on a site for them. They have the hardest job and we should do what we can to support them. My husband is going to Afghan in September and I'm really worried so some messages of support will really make us both smile, thank you : )

You are so right...you know the world respects and cherishes the men/women who serve their country and should never let the criticism of their government and their endeavours be reflected upon them.

my son, your husband, someones daughter. thank you all for looking after us and helping to make the world a safer place to live in.

I think of you all the time. Whenever I watch the news or see some featured story of a young troop who has lost a limb but is anxious to get back to his unit. When I see all the ungrateful people not supporting you over there. When you stoically go about your dangerous work filled with pride and patriotism. It makes me pause, often several times a day and ask myself:

"Where do we find such people? Are they just born that way or does America still produce more than it's share of brave, heroic and dedicated men and women who so willingly lay down their lives to protect the rest of us." Many of us probably don't deserve your sacrifice. Yet you ask so little in return.

I thank you. It seems so inadequate to say after all you do but I am grateful every day that you love us so much. We love you, too.

You are beautiful.

Having fought in the Falklands (in the Para's) and in the first Gulf war ( in special forces) and now with a son serving in the Navy, you and your family have all the love and respect from all of the British people in the UK, they are doing a hard job which is worthwhile for the safe future of the world. They will work hard and play hard, but the odds of getting hurt are quite low, all that gets publisised are the injuries and deaths. But the majority of service personel aer safe. You must remember they are the best trained people in the world, with some of the best officers.
So have heart and be cheerful and await the tour to be over.

Hey man just be careful, dont trust ANY foreigner. And whatever you do dont try to be a hero, by volunteering for ANYTHING. Pray alot. Trust in the Lord. And be safe. I think you guys are doing a helluva job. Its those idiot politicians in DC I wish we could send over there. Don't listen to a thing about them, they are all nuts.

A good friend of mine recently did 6 months in Afghan, and I worried like hell the whole time he was out there. To any Armed Forces personnel overseas, I would say, just remember there are a lot of people back here who care about you, who think about you, and who appreciate what you're doing and the sacrifices you're making. Whether people do or don't agree with why we're in Iraq, Afghan, or indeed anywhere else (Kosovo, Bosnia, Macedonia, Falklands to name a few), they should remember and appreciate the people who represent those 'boots on the ground'.

I just wanted to thank you and your family for all you do. It is a huge sacrifice to leave your family and fight to keep America safe. And to the family thank you for staying strong and supporting your husband / wife / father / mother / daughter /son as they fight for all of us. They are true heroes!! You will be in my prayers!

We should support our Service people, they`re the most underated, badly paid people in our various countries.
They didn`t ask to go to wars but are sent there by our governments who don`t give a damn whether they live or die.
A servicemans/womans life is hard and on active service they have additional worry of they`re families welfare on top of the people they`re serving with.Little or no recreation time.Constantly looking aver they`re shoulder.

We send them off with Flags waving and bands Playing but nothing when they return home.
Even in base they`re never relaxed always fearing attack and having duties within the base when not out on patrol.
When they come home they`re given a medal but no one cares after that. The only people who understand what they`ve been through are those of us that have been it whether in the 2 recent campaigns or in campaigns like Desertstorm or the Falklands.
The Government need to do more for our service personnel and they`re families.

They all need to pay Bush a visit and use those guns to blow his head off! Its his fault there out ther. I bless those guys and pray for them but they don't need to be there anymore. Peace man!!

No. I won't leave a single solitary message on there.

My husband's over in Iraq right this moment. You know what I've heard non-stop from everyone who's been back and forth?

There's no point in being over there.

We hate it.

There's no reason to keep us over there.

That's ALL I've heard. NOONE cheers this war on anymore. The soliders are sick of it, the military families are sick of it, the non-military families are sick of it and the Iraqis are sick of it!

Why should I cheer them on when I -am- cheering them on already? I'm supporting those who're trying to bring them home to the people they love. I'm supporting those who want a full pullout from Afghanistan and Iraq. That's more of a cheer than I can send through typed words.

Afghanistan isn't too bad... but if he's infantry... ...it's not pretty. ...Hopefully he'll be okay, but I'll be honest with you. He gets about an 80% chance of coming back alive. Better than half, so keep your hopes up... but infantry is having a rough time over in Afghanistan right now.

I hope he does well, regardless.
