hi can anyone tell me what a good work out would be for when i join the USMC? i know that nothing will "prepare" me for boot camp, mainly the psychological aspect. but can anyone tell me what i can do to ready me a little bit for the physical part? i already run a lot. i can run around 2 to 3 miles with ease. so i am very good with long distance, but i am absolutely awful with sprinting. so, anyways, any ideas for a workout?

Well, what I used to do, was about 200 push ups every morning, with the last 25 or so on my finger tips, then about 200 sit ups, and then leg lifts for about an hour . Climbing rope is also good, and if you have a small back pack , put about 80 pounds in it and jog around the block a lot. Not running full out , but jogging. If it doesn't hurt, then you need to do a lot more. Form is everything in the corp. and don't forget it. Keep going till the D.I. gets tired of badgering you and goes on to someone else. A psycho mom can help you with the preparation for the psychological aspects of basic
well you have to run farther than that. It is timed as well so make sure you can run in the time allowed. |
