Problem for call in the duty base... help please!?

Hello everybody! :)

My bf is in Marine corps in CA

We can speak sometimes, but I´m Spanish and he call me with phone cards because mobile calls are very expensive

he call me with the phone card from the phonebox, but the base have ONLY 2 phonebox, one is damaged and the other one hear very low... :S

I want to know how to fix the phonebox, or with what person can my bf speak for solve that problem... can he speak with the phonebox company for ask if a profesional person can fix it? what is the main phonebox company on California and their web or phone number??

this is the only way for speak for us... he havent pc with internet

A lot of small companies have pay station dept. There is usually a number on the station to call, that is the number to report it.

If you live in the US/Mexico/Canada a mobile phone plan shouldn't cost that much. If he is out of school and in the barracks there are always pay phones around somewhere (the two phone boxs on the entire base bit is a lie, maybe two phones in his building) and he should be able to have a phone in his room if he is out of school.

If the phones really are broken then he can file a maintenance request to have them fixed.

you can also write him a letter. the kind you mail at the post office. until things get fixed that way you at least have some form of contact with him.

He can get a prepaid plane with companies like Virgin Mobile that are reasonable so he can get a mobile/cell phone. He can get access to internet with a computer at the Marine Corps Service center or he can try a local library as well.

There is nothing that you can do for him to have the problem fixed. Part of the reasoning behind limited phoneboxes is because they are no longer worth it as most people have mobiles. He can look around and see if there is other phone options. Sometimes the Service center will also have phones.

there is nothing either of you can do to fix the pay phones. he does not have the authority to bring someone in to repair it..

you have letters available to you. besides every on base lirary has computers with free internet access and there are OTHER places he can go to get free internet access.
