if you sign the ranger contract do get time off between Basic Training/Infantry and Airborne School?

leave? the second i was done with basic trainning, everyone NOT going to airborne school left with their family while i was stuck standing in the hot sun of ft benning with 12 other guys and we were all thinking the same thing, "Crap."

but it was worth it.

Sure, if you get some strange disease ie mono. Otherwise, you get squat. As a ranger, you are an elite fighting force. Very few exceptions are allocated for them.
