Question about recruiters?

I am planning on joining the USAF, but I want to be able to have control over my recruiter when I go to talk to him. I want to become a police officer on an air base, but I have a feeling they will say there won't be any openings, now the question is, what if I said to the recruiter I am going to join the Army instead, would this change his/her mind?

I've heard that if you used that tactic with Army recruiters, they change their tune fast.

What do you think?

I think it's ridiculous to pose as an Army Aviator on the internet when you admit upfront you haven't even talked to a recruiter and you vacillate from Coast Guard to Army to Air Force, from helo pilot to UAS pilot to cop, and as recently as six months ago you were still in high school. I bet you look good in your Oakleys, though.

I think the recruiter will thank you for coming in and might even give you directions to the Army recruiter. This isn't like buying a car. The Air Force doesn't need you.

You should probably talk to the different services anyway, see what is offered, etc.

The threat to talk to another service shouldn't really be a threat - it should be a tactic that you are actively pursuing. This is a pretty important decision and it is worth the time to explore the options.

Only if there are openings... If they really don't have any, they might try to get you to pick a different MOS.

Talk with all Branches, see what they all offer

the army has low enlistment. the air force does not. so if you try to trick an air force recruiter they will probably say "see ya!"

Personally, my recruiter is an extremely honest and supportive guy. I'm really close to him because he's honest and straightforward and I know he wouldn't lie to me. There is a possibility that there's NOT an opening as a police officer in the Air Force, because I can't see a recruiter lying to you about it. if there's an opening and you want it, why wouldn't you get it? There's nothing to change his mind over. If they want you to join, he won't tell you there's not a place open when there is.

I doubt it.. But if it is full Im sure yur recruiter will find a way to get u in

The only one that guarantees you a job will be the Navy. But if they do have an Opening you have to make sure you get it on paper. A recruiters will lie to you about anything to make you join.
