Question on Military couples/BAH?

I'm an E-4 right now but i'm in the Guard. My fiance is an E-2 and Active.
Once we get married, how does BAH work when we live together. Is it based on E-2 or E-4 pay? I'm confused because i know that they do it off the higher ranking, but i'm not active duty. Or will she just get E-2 with dependant?

She will get BAH with dependents...once you get married. If you are activated (for 30+ days), you, being the higher paygrade will get BAH w/ Dependents and she will have to tell her COC and will get BAH w/o dependents. Once you go back to being a weekend warrior, it will go back the was it was to begin with.
MRSJVB - you really need to stop answering questions you don't have a freaking clue about. I don't care how long your DH has been in, you are not and you don't know all the rules. |

1. You are not eligible for BAH, your in the Guard.
2. She will be eligible for BAH , based on her rank.
3. Your a civilian |

you are not authorized BAH at all unless acitvated for more than 30 days.
she will get BAH at the with dependent rate based on her paygrade. when/if you are activated for more than 30 days she is required to inform her Chain of command.. she will be dropped down to Single BAH( unless you have kids) and you will also qualify for BAH Single while activated. |
