ROTC branch restrictions?

Say you went to college and joined say Army ROTC because that was the only ROTC branch they offered on your campus and say you wanted to join the Marines after college.Would going to Army ROTC keep you from being able to join the Marines because you didn't attend Navy ROTC w/ Marine option?

There is a program called cross-commissioning but your commander has to agree to release you and the other commander has to agree to take you....I've only seen it happen once and it was a hella lot work getting it done.

Is there a NROTC at a nearby campus? They may have a crosstown agreement with your school....I have several universities in the "local" area ~ some of my cadets drive an hour one way to come to AFROTC.
