i'm currently in the us army reserve and plan to reenlist but can someone explain to me WHY it is better to reenlist before you ETS? i have like 2yrs left on my contract so i probably been in for almost 6yrs at the end of this month.

oh and if i reenlist and my MOS qualifies will i get more bonus as active duty or reserves? i was planning to do AGR when i reenlist because my retention sgt said i have a better chance of getting the TOURS i want if there is a slot, is that accurate?

as far as a bonus it depends on your MOS and rank.
its less hastle to reenlist before you ets, but while your still on IRR its not too hard to, its just a 41-87. |

are you asking why it's better to reenlist before you ETS as opposed to after you ETS?
and your bonus really just depends on the needs of the Army. typically, reservists get less. |

As of right know there is no way no one will reenlist because of the options there are giving to us. Since new recruits are coming in there are lesser jobs for the people who been in. You could either ride out your years and get the RCP bonus or reenlist and be in hell the rest of your life..The choice is yours Daniel Son!!!!!!!! |
