Now I have been hearing this from a very close friend of mine, and I have been telling him that I have not heard or read anything like that, but I am also saying that because I do watch the current events but not OFTEN so there are times I may miss out on it. But I want to know if they are definitely reinstating the military draft?

I doubt it will happen but I would like to see all these armchair quarterbacks get a shot at being in combat, rather than stop-lossing troops, which is a backdoor draft!
I think the rich and privileged should get a taste of what they have been supporting, but not fighting! |

Fat chance of that happening. So many people are signing up now that bonuses are not as prevalent as they were before so draft being reinstated is a long shot. It is also hard for someone who was discharged honorably to get reinstated since the military is getting so many recruits in. |

Hope so! I wish there was a law that required every male to be conscripted into the military at the age of 18. Maybe, it teach the youth a lot more manners and quit being whinnies about everything! Sigh...I sure do hate civilian life! Can't wait to get back in, once I'm done with schooling! |

I think it would be a great idea. Serving ones country is a duty of every American. Most of the youth of today are too self centered and don't appreciate the blessings they have being an American citizen. The schools surely don't teach them to respect our country...Our leaders today certainly aren't an example to them either. Maybe the military can teach them a thing or two about responsibility. I haven't heard anything about it coming back, but it would do wonders for our youth today.

No, they are not. There are no realistic plans to start up a draft.
There is one guy in congress that continues to bring it up because he feels military service is good for young men and the rest of congress roll their eyes at him. |
