Respect for Canadian Military.?

I worked with the Canadian Military in Afghanistan and they did a lot of great things out there so they have nothing but respect from myself and my team. Why wouldn't people respect them?

I think pretty much any Military in general is a respect group of people by most.

There are alot of canadian troops over seas fighting as well, alot of people don't know that.

yes LOTS of people respect the Canadian Armed Forces
they do everything without seeking respect from others
and yes Canada does indeed have a military.. last time I checked a very very good one, who also helps train American Pilots

Canada is known for its peace keeping, and definetly known for its fighting. It was the germans who said that Canada has the most amazing house to house fighters [known during the Battle of Ortona in WWI during the Italian Campaign] It was also Hitler, who said they would not meet any other German Soldiers to supply backup at Vimy Ridge for they would meet certain death, the Canadian Military took over Vimy Ridge in 3 days, when the French and British couldn't take it over in 3 years.

They don't get enough respect or what they do here in Canada and aboard... but you know what? known of them do it for respect or to be loved.. they sign up and enlist to serve their country their people and to ensure the rights of every human being across this planet.

I worked with three troops from the Canadian Forces Security Branch back in the 70's. They earned my utmost respect then and the Canadian Military still has my respect to this very day. They were very shape, very courteous, and very knowledgeable in their duties.

Yes they helped the US and and all we manage to do is to bomb them from time to time.

I trained with and worked with the Canadian Army while I was on active duty. They were fine soldiers, and sure knew how to party when off duty.

I have more respect for the Canadian military than I do the Mexican military. But the world must respect the Chinese & Russian military the most.

I do. Considering I live in Canada. So sad how like 6 of them died in a matter of like 2 weeks or less. :(

I do. I may not like their politicians but their military I give respect to. Any person of our ally countries that lay their life on the line deserve it IMO.

Who wouldn't respect any just military personal anywhere in the world? I plan on joining the Marines when I am 18, and have experienced a small taste of what it is going to be like in basic training. It's hell everywhere, and you'd have to be pretty low to disrespect a solider.

Soldiers don't die for a specific country. They train. Physically and mentally exerting themselves and preparing themselves for a greater hell. They do a hell of a lot more than die for a specific country.

Remember that when you disrespect a soldier.

yea i do a little bit. I commend them, Hell they helped with the invasion of Normandy, june 6 1944.
yea i respect them a bit. Not as much as i do my own american military, but yea a little.

I DO!! I am a canadian. You may think that our army does nothing but Canadians are dying too in the war. And unlike americans we are actually there for peace keeping, not for oil and money.

Our military has done nothing to have earned any disrespect. For those of you who are surprised to learn we have one, our role has had to change from one of peacekeeper to killing machine thanks to the middle east. I am thrilled to have heard we will not be staying in Afghanistan past July 2009. And rightly so, our dead number over 100 and we have paid our dues. And for what exactly?

Canadian military has proved to be underrated for years. First i would like to start with WW1, every time i look up a Canadian battle on the internet i find nothing about what Canada did but instead what the British and Americans did. I have nothing against either country seeing as i am of dual citizenship but i feel Canada played a larger role than the states in World War 1. We fought a lot of key battles involving, Passchendale, Vimy Ridge, The War at Sea must i go on? World War II, remember who evacuated 90% of the people from Dunkirk? The Canadians. Brought 14,000 infantry to Juno Beach alone? Canadians, they were a major factor in the Battle of Scheldt opening Antwerp and allowing Allied ships to provide provisions. I actually don't want to stay and write this all because i have to study for my history exam right now.
