ignore the guys who say the army is a bad career. The army is not just about getting shot at. You can get an MOS that won't get you stuck on the front lines. It is an awesome opportunity. It pays for college, offers career training, gives you a home, provides health care and a job. Personally, I want to join the military but i don't matter, its your decision. |

That is a very personal decision.
There are MANY aspects to consider.
Military lifestyle (some hate it, some love it). The unpredictability, travel, adventure etc... The possibility of war, and sacrifice.
Also, many benefits. Besides the education / experience they tell you about, there is a certain sense of protection, commodore, pride.
You will have done what the majority has not.
Good luck in whatever decision you make. Be safe. |

Are you ready to die ? In the middle east ? That war is not about to finish, you have a slight chance to die from natural cause !
What do you want to do in the army ? Torture people ? Fight to maintain economic powers where they are ? Help your government fight against your country's freedoms ? Are you ready to be trial on war crimes when US immunity on crimes against humanity will be expired ? If you haven't noticed, the top governments have a fascist agenda. If that is part of your beliefs and what you wish for humanity, then go for it. |

Please ignore all of the negative comments about dying, etc. What you need to do is take a look at yourself now, where you want to be in the future and decide if the army can help you get there. Talk to a recruiter and do research. Try military.com for questions to ask recruiters. The military is not for everyone, but for a lot of people it is an outstanding opportunity to gain valuable experience and education. |

If you want to get a normal job but still serve your country you should look into the Army National Guard. |

One of the few regrets that I have in life is that I did not enlist in the military. If you are young and want to get some independence while knowing you will have food, shelter and medical care, the military is a good choice. You can save for college and get lots of experience in weapons training and survival skills.
Just don't get too brainwashed in boot camp. The military exists to protect big American businesses, not necessarily the American people. |

If you want to go to Iraq then yes. If you want to remain home with your family who probably needs you more then no. If your question centers around finances try getting a job locally or if it's a depressed area consider moving to an area where jobs are plentiful. War kills. 3 cousins over there who have been deployed 3 times with hardly any break. I feel sorry for them. Love our men and women in uniform, don't get me wrong but now would not be a good time to join. |

If you like.
In europe , many countries require you to serve at 18.
You have the freedom to choose and only you know if it is the right thing.
Thank you for at least considering it . |
