Should I join the Marine Corps or The Army?

ARMY STRONG!

If you are looking for service to country and dont care what job you get...........go with Marines.

If you are looking to get into a specific job of any kind and want to know what you are doing before basic training....then go Army.

Not saying you should not join the Army for service to country though.

Well that's really up to you, but i am partial to the Marines. my dad, two brothers and a uncle are all Marines.

If you are only planning on serving for 4 years go for the Marines. If you are planning on making a career of the military, go for the Army.

Like everyone before me has stated. You have to make the choice for yourself, BUT do your homework. It has to meet your needs.

Here is my two cents - The Marines get into your head, you take the boy out of the CORE, but you will never take the CORE out of the MAN. The Marines are given so little and expected to do so much that they are capable of doing anything with just about nothing.

I would take the army exam and see what jobs you qualify for, if you pass the army exam you can always get into the marines. remember that the jobs in the army are many.

List the pros and cons, that's how I did it. First examine the Army.

Army Pros:
1. More pay
2. More money for college
Army Cons:
1. No infantry training for non-infantryman
2. Hundreds of thousands of people, good luck trying to get any higher then a sgt.
3. Higher propality of getting killed.

Now the Marines:

Marines Pros:
1. Great pay
2. Best military training in the world.
3 The Uniform
4. The Honor, The Courage, The Commitment
5. Everyone is infantry trained, even the radioman.

Marines Cons:
1. Knowing that your a tough S.O.B. gets to your head.

Marines are definately a better choice because of a greater tradition and the higher standards they are held too.

If you are going in looking for an education, besides learning how to kill people, the army is probably the better choice. If you are going into the infantry, go Marines. The training is the best, and the survival rate is better. Also they have shorter deployment times.

depends, if you have a family, the marines, if not, the army. Army's deployments are longer so if you have a family and you love them, then join the Marines.
