Should I sign it or should I wait?

My recruiter told me that I'll more than likely be offered a job in Computer Systems Operations.
That was my second job pick when I went to MEPS. I had my heart set on my first pick (Command Post Apprentice).

Is Computer Systems Operations a "better" job than Command Post Apprentice?

I don't want to sign a contract for my number 2 pick if I could've gotten my number 1.. But I also don't want to pass up an offer for my number 2 pick and then not be offered anything I like...
I'm sure you know the position I'm in.

My other 2 picks were Computer Systems planning & implementation, and Space Systems Operations.
Additional Details
I forgot to say that I'm going into the Air Force.

well i'm not sure about air force, but this last monday i enlisted in the national guard and if i had enlisted about two weeks ago my signing bonus would be at 20k instead of the 10k that it is at now. also a lot of other things they previously offered (active first, college first, etc.) they are no longer offering. so it depends on if the air force is taking away stuff or not.

Wait for the job you really want! no rush to join the Air Force, as it will always be there! You will be unhappy with any other job.

If hes telling you that you will mroe than likely be offered CSO then I would sign. But only sign if he guarantees it in writing. You don't want to pass up a chance to leave for basic soon. If you weren't sure you would be happy with that job then why put it on the list. When I went to MEPS and January I told them I wanted to leave ASAP, he said we have telecommunications job leaving in a few weeks. I knew I would hate that job so I went with my gut and turned it down and hoped I got the main job I wanted (crew chief) and sure enough that night my recruiter called and said I landed crew chief and I ship out this tuesday the 14th. So all im saying is go with your gut. If CPA is the only job you know you will be happy with then dont sign until a slot opens for that. It might take a year but it will be worth the wait for the next 4-8 years of your life. Good Luck
