It pisses me off being a soldier but you have to remember I fight for their right to protest. The 2nd line of the oath of enlistment is "that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States" this includes the freedom of speech. |

This is the bad apple that ruins the barrel.
They should be tried for treason and sentenced to life in front of
a firing squad.
They can get away with that crap because they are hiding
behind the religion!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.
Thank you very much, while you're up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

That kind of thing makes me physically sick. Those "dead soldiers" that "God hates" are the reason those idiots can prance around with their stupid signs and not get arrested. They protested a funeral near my hometown after a school bus went off an interstate overpass and killed 4 students. Said God hates America because we support gays, so God killed these poor kids. Fortunately 2 city buses just happened to park right in front of their demonstration, blocking it from view. If they ever showed up at a funeral of one of my friends there'd be hell to pay. |

In my opinion they should be shot on the spot for disrespect to an American soldier and their families. |

.Prosecuted for stupidity and total lack of decency. It's not treason to do what they are doing; we still have free speech in this country but it's reprehensible. The are not Christians they are lunatics. |

Unfortunately, such vile behavior is somewhat covered under the 1st Amendment. And I would fight for the right to express their view elsewhere. American service members deserve nothing but respect. But for the grieving families, I would give the WBC a new meaning to "bodily harm." |

when they carry the sign for IED's let one go off as they get in their car....problem solved |

No, they should not be prosecuted. They should be reviled, scorned, held in contempt. They are a purulent chancre on the posterior of humanity.
Their antics are the acts of cowards. Rest assured if the people at the funerals were permitted to physically respond to the Westboro crowd you wouldn't hear a peep from these clowns. |

No. They are abusing their first amendment rights. There is NOTHING stopping me from picketting anything or anyone. |

I don't know that that's possible, but I swear to god if they show up at one of my buddies funerals they won't walk away from it. And I guarantee if they were to show up at mine that there would be trouble, not only from my battle buddies, but from my family. Would it be such a sin to just burn down their "church"? |

Let Them Emigrate or Let the Government Relocate them in Iraq or Afghanistan or maybe Iran.Im pretty sure they will crawl back to us.
And Yes,i want them to be prosecuted if possible.and the sentence must be death by IED. |

actually you are right in your logic just wrong in your syntax .There is no question they are in violation of the sedition acts but since no one has been prosucuted for decades ( WW1, I believe but perhaps WW2 or McCARTHY, I wish I was more certain) few even know of the actaul CRIME ,and these laws are still valid but treason is direct aid to a forgien enemy NOT domestic RETARDS . Hey we have a winner ,as late as feb 2006 a nurse who worked for the VA was charged with sedition! she was later cleared but at least we can stop these *******! |

Offering aid and comfort to our enemies formerly meant directly helping the enemy, such as providing weapons, money, training and safe housing. Based on a supreme court ruling about 2 years ago, it now can mean indirect support, such as praising the deaths of American soldiers, or merely making it public you want the other side to win the conflict, which wbc does at their protests, as that does encourage our enemies to wreak more havoc on our troops. Al quada and other terror groups do attention to such things going on in our country. So, yes, westboro should be prosecuted for treason under the Constitution.

It is unbelievable that these tyrants are allowed to be this irrisponsible in America. I have long since wanted to see the 1st Amendment right of speach and press capped to state that one has a right of responsible speach and press and that would be determined by the standard of what a reasonable adult would consider responsible by our knowledge and understanding of what ethics and morality consists of. I would also like to inform Westboro that their rights end where someone elses rights begin, and that my friends is Contitutional. Every family that loses a loved one has the right to put away their loved one in a respectful and dignified manner. Westboro does not recognize this right.
I further challenge our lawmakers to do their jobs before this gets out of control. When they finally run into the wrong berieved family and some one breaks loose with weaponry I don't want to hear their crying because they brought it on themselves. Further I would challenge Americans to find anyone that brought harm to Westboro Baptist or its congregation innocent of all charges. Any harm that should come to these folks has been the making of their arrogance, evil mindedness, and lack of any moral fiber. They have provoked Americas people to anger and disgust. |

Treason requires levying war against the states, or adhering to the enemy, offering aid and comfort.
That the WBC pickets the funerals of soldiers and those gathered in means that are hardly a half a step below inciting a riot seems to be almost equivalent to assault against the troops. Assault against our troops... doesn't that come close to what caused us to go to work in 2001?
As for adhering to the enemy, well, Thank God for IEDs? God is your Enemy? Thank God for 9-11? These are mantras that have crossed oceans, there are individuals the world over who know of the ignorance of WBC and their hate crimes against the USA. This offers both comfort to our enemies who seek to see the fruits of their killings, and offers them aid by letting them know just how effective their killings are.
WBC has become allies attempting to hide behind the 1st amendment they deface daily. They stomp upon our flags, they offer cheers to a God that slaughters Americans, they brainwash their children in a fashion that seems to fill every description of a cult... how are they still allowed to call themselves Americans? How are they not paying for their crimes?
Fear and love don't work in this case. Instead, become cold, become logical. The WBC is a cancer upon the face of America and the face of Christianity. And we've had enough. |
