Sounds like Friendly fire sour grapes to me! |

Your ignorance is on par with the British inability to win a war without the assistance of the United States.
The only reason England isn't part of the United States is because we weren't interested in it after removing them from this country.
When I was on active duty, I used to slap British military members for sport. It was fun to hear them cry in that sissy little accent. |

My oh my sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side this morning.
I dont even have to go into any discussion since everything I was going to say has been said above.
We all see how well you guys fared against the Scottish and Irish. Oh yeah, dont forget how our tiny little unorganized militia sent your cronies packing. |

We do get proper training... did it ever occur to you that perhaps your boys were where they shouldn't be... or didn't clue us in to their whereabouts?
You're not even in the military so quit your whinning ya baby and get out to recess! Accidents happen... everywhere!
The Brits couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in the bottom... I do recall us saving your british behind a few wars back eh? |

Another moronic rant from a dumbchild who has been educated by the British Labour Party Educational system.
His supposed "question" seem to imply all our US cousins have wiped out the British Army in Iraq!!!
For: Jus Gladii
please add a link to a friendly fire incident caused by the U.N?
To my knowledge they (the U.N)have been the targets of indirect fire on more than one occasion in South Lebanon.
There are no U.N. Mission troops in Iraq or Afghanistan!!! |

i think you should pay more attention to what you hear.
the US and British troops get basically the same training, the Royal Marines and the USMC have and do train together and the US Army follow the same training situations as the British so it helps when in combat they know what they are doing which is why we have NATO to standardise things |

the American military are trained there are trained to the same standard as British infantry just that they like to swamp a battle Field with men and go head on the British are more trained in night fighting all the last battles that us Brits have fought have been at night |

I take it this is from someone who has never been in any of the armed forces at all as it is a bit silly, the US forces and the British forces regularly train together in joint operations and are regarded by many as some of the finest fighting forces in the world, in combat there is confusion, panic, disorder and many other things going on and accidents to happen its sad but a reality of combat, both sides work hard to prevent this happening but like anything else in life there is no 100% certainty that it wont happen. The US forces are highly trained and havign worked with them on several operations i have first hand experiance of how hard they work and the training they go through, i suggest you get your facts right before ranting from the comfort of your armchair on a subject you dont really know what your talking about.
A little note to some of our cousins out there "Only the military leaders such as Luderndorff and Hindenburg knew the true state of Germany's military plight which had become even more apparent when America had joined in the war in 1917. The success of the Luderndoff Offensive in 1918 was only paper-thin as Germany had lost many of her most able officers in battle"
And in WWII we had beaten back the threat of invasion in 1940 when the RAF defeated the luftwaffe, which prevented the germans gaining air superiority over britain which the germans would have needed to carry out operation sea lion which was abandoned and never raised again as Hitler then decided to invade Russia.
The bits about america rescuing the uk are a little misguided however the ALLIES i.e. Britain,USA, Canada, Australia, Newzealand (see the theme of british and commenwealth here) and of course the Russians where all responsible for the defeat of the Axis forces.
Most Brits really like and admire the americans except when you try to alter history to reflect that just the US won wwI and wwII |

Were you aware that American and British forces train together and play war games? British military training is really no different from the American. So.....if the American military is so bad......what does that say about the British military?
Americans are allowed to own guns.......British are not. Don't you think we are already used to the concept of using one?
Maybe we are just a little more trigger happy.
Go back to school, or do some research, then make a valid point.
Have a good one. |

The United States of America has the finest trained military in the world! You #@$$#@#$ #@@! Next would be Isreal. I think that the brits are somewhere below that. |

Now from a third party ..
Both British and American have a habit of killing off their own in training or in action. Normally the UN is there to share some of the blame.
By the way some of my best friends are rednecks and every one knows how to hold a gun. What to point it at seems to be the problem. |

haha, you must not be very smart. the U.S. Army is the strongest fighting force in the world. and i happen to be in the military, and i was trained excellent. |

You put your finger on a big problem our military has in fighting the kind of war that's going on in Iraq. they don't teach Cop training in the military, shooting with discretion and a whole range of social worker type training. There their to shoot, kill & win, using smart bombs that are not as smart as we wish they were, kill good people as well, tanks run over the good and bad, very little understanding of the culture and language. |

It's because we are trying to fight without the adequate forces, so we end up sending our guys in ASAP. Being so undermanned, we also use private military contractors, which make up about %50 +/- 10 of our forces. |

Not so much proper Training !! but they should definitely be taught what The Union Jack flag looks like, And be shown what Tanks Their allies drive !!! That way they won't be firing on them !!!
It seems like more British soldiers get killed by their "Friendly Fire" than by the people we're ACTUALLY fighting against!! |

What is the point in that? The American Armed Forces are generally incompetent and refuse to accept so. They will always need the British help and know-how to save face when they go charging aimlessly as they always do, at barriers they have neither assessed nor have the ability to negotiate on their own. |
