I really don't give a sh*t if gays are in the military or not. Who cares? |

The military is one of the most homophobic groups out there. Go ahead and openly let gays in and see what happens. It wouldn't be pretty. |

okay first off... no guy should be afraid to join the army if gays were allowed... gay men aren't out to rape another guy if he doesn't want it and ten to one he's not interested in you. Also not all gay men make brownies or whatever you think that they do. Just because they are gay doesn't mean that they are flamboyant. I know plenty of gay guys that I honestly thought were straight the first time I met them. Number two.... gays are allowed in the military under the don't ask don't tell rule.... I personally don't like the rule because with the changing times in that gay marriage is being more widely accepted I believe that the military in general should accept common law gay marriage, gay marriage and gay civil unions. i beileve that everyone has a right to marry whom so ever they choose. Love is love and no one can say otherwise. I think that the military will eventually come around in the years to come and i hope that they do.
Gays are in the military whether people know it or not.... so saying that you would't join the military if gays were allowed is a retarted statement because they are already there..... you just don't know who they are.... so stay away period cause we wouldn't want you fighting for our counry anyway.....
So to answer your question is difficult because they are already in.... but to put it in a different way... i believe they should also be recognized in marriage just as straight marriages are recognized.... |

sorry but I'm not trying to share a tent and shower around homos. just like women dont wanna shower around straight guys. you can do what you feel like in your off time, but keep it there. We gotta war to fight. |

You know you hate me

They are already in the military. They just adhere by the don't ask, don't tell policy well and the command sometimes never finds out.
Why don't you shut your mouth. I love it when civilians think they know our world. |

yes they should be allowed, a lot of the reasons a few years ago was that someone who was gay had more chances of being blackmailed to reveal secrets classified material etc, now we are more open about these things as for gays turning the armed services into a care bare army, what you think gays haven't been in the army from the year dot and you must really fancy yourself if you think they would rape you, are you hiding in the army in case they find you, ha have a look around at your platoon you might find your the only straight guy there but there not allowed to tell. sleep well. |

Gays are already in the army. Lots of them. And most of the time, the people serving with them know they are gay.
I love how homophobic people are terrified they are gonna get hit on by a gay person. You know, it's very possible that you may not be all that attractive to a gay person. What makes you think you're that hot? |

I study uniformed public services and have completed various assignments on equality within the armed forces - everybody is treated equally and bullying is not tolerated. I agree with this and believe this is how it should be. |

They should be allowed to join and train but should be given no special treatment in training or in their work afterwards.
If they let it affect their work or the work of their colleagues they should be discharged just like a straight person would be. |

wow. seriously?? I say yes, let the gay people join the army. They are exactly the same as straight people, same emotions, same capabilities and same strength. too be honest, i think that at some point, gay people are stronger than straight people since they are open with their feelings and all of the discrimination in the world still won't stop them in their pursuit of love. You people who say that you are against them are just afraid for no reason. grow up and see people for who they are inside. now. |
