Firstly...the concept of "Israeli terror" is just as stupid and bigoted as "Palestinian victims"...both are responsible in one way or another for this mess. As to the question of UN troops...please remember Somalia (Blackhawk Down), Rwanda and Liberia. Who is going to contribute troops to any UN peacekeeper force? Israel will not want Arab/Muslim troops in the UN force anymore than Palestinians will want USA troops there. I seriously doubt the Europeans, Russians and Chinese will supply troops, and the remaining nations (African/Asian/Latin American) will most likely supply mediocre troops (read: inadequately equipped, not necessarily poorly trained) Secondly UN peacekeepers are limited by the stupid rules of "impartiality, neutrality and consent"...which means if the Palestinians rocket Israeli cities, they cannot stop them...while if the Israelis send Apache helicopters over to the Palestinian side then the UN will just sit back and watch. The only way a UN force will work is if they are unrestrained and well equipped (read: be willing to shoot BOTH Israelis and Palestinians).

Israel is quite capable of dealing with this. Why would you want to send in UN forces? This is not an impossible situation without a remedy. All that has to be done is for the Palestinians to release the Israeli soldier, and stop their repeated attacks on Israel. UN forces as peacekeepers are about as worthless as a referee at a professional wrestling match.

I would do it to protect the Palestinians from the Isrealis. To protect Isrealis from shelling?! What shelling the Palestinians dont have artillery guns, yes home made rockets but only 1 in 10 at most ever make it to Isreali territory. But the UN will never go as said before the US and Isrealis will never allow it. But something should be done to help stop this stupid cycle of terror from both sides. Too much tit-for-tat killing.

all over the past decades, the israelis have been the one who have pushed for peace, along with egyptian prime minister anwar sadat.

its not terror to fight back and retrieve one's own. it goes back to the, who started it in the first place?
