First of all we were in debt prior to Iraq and we will always be in debt..
Second..every month we do remove troops from Iraq and they never get replaced therefore this is a reduction in force..
If what you want is a schedule of a pullout well that is not gonna happen..The enemy would then regroup and just wait for us to leave per our schedule..
But slowly we are turning over power to the Iraqis and when they can stand on their own two feet we will increase our removal from the streets of Iraq and we will shift to our permanent bases being built throughout Iraq..
Iraq one day will be like Germany, or Okinawa, or Guam..We will always maintain a presence in that nation. |

Once Iraq becomes more stable the U.S. will gradually reduced it's force but will have a base there like already mentioned in here. |

I believe that we have to stay in Iraq. We first decided to try to change the state of Iraq into one without terrorism. If we back out now then I feel that it would be a failure on our part. Thousands of soldiers have died in the war. What would we stand for if we just all of a sudden backed out? Honestly I am tired of hearing people criticizing the United States for the war. Yes I understand that people are dying. Yes I understand that we failed to find weapons of massive destruction. However, if we back out now, then we will be ignoring our own citizens and the citizens of Iraq! |

Sure why not, we're paying for everything, let the Iraqis have a good time, we go the bill. and when we finish we will build them a nice new country with nice freeways and everything, so let the good times roll. |

My answer is yes. We need to finish what we started! |

if we just left iraq right now or even over time without finishing what we started, what would everyone think about us and how we stand and what about everything we have put in already, it would have been wasted because terrorists or whoever will be fighting us in the future will destroy whatever we would have built by the time we got out. i just do not think it is worth it to just leave after all we have put in, plus, what about the people there? |

Ofcourse. You need to finish what you started. Otherwise, East will just have an other chance to call US a quitter. Trust me, they will refer to you with this. |

I would we fight it over there than here at home.
Woud'nt you? We must contain and destory the radicals there in thier home and not let it spread anywhere else. |

Though it is true that what you start you must finish, I feel in this case we should end the war. What are we fighting for? Is it to help or merely governmental greed?
Who do we think we are. We can't even get home together, how do we handle others. We are also killing our economy. One last question for thought; what did fighting ever solve? |

Catch 22. Damned if we leave damned if we stay. If we leave, terrorists win, they could follow us home and continue Bin Laden's "jihad" If we stay, we spend billions, secure the country but terrorists have a excellent proving ground. |

No, of course not. And realize that it is not really a war. It is an invasion. Who is the enemy over there? Don't say terrorists, because not all Iraqis (or Muslims for that matter) are terrorists. For a war, you kind of need an enemy.
About 15 or so years ago when Chenney was Sec. of Defense, he said that invading Iraq would end up being a quaqmire. Guess what, he was right.
Right now the only option is to work with Muslim leaders to ensure that the government there works with the different factions and finds a balance between Islamic law and democracy. We need to lose the guns and turn the situation into a food and medicinal operation. Like we should be doing in Myanmar (aka Burma). |

To answer this question NO! I feel the same way you do. At first i said yea we go to war had every right to. they attacked up we fire back. We had completed our Objectives Sadam and have help the iraq people a lot now its time to pull out. it has turn out to be a pointless war now no real objectives! we are 3 trillion and more dollars in debt, and we have had over 4077 soldiers dead. Thats 2 many killed. war has gone on long enough thats why i think obama will be good to pull out slowly til all our boys are back home. Your never gonna stop them all there is always gonna be one guy always out there thats gonna try to do something stupid. heck the whole world is full of them. I think bush is a very poor leader for our country and needs to have been kicked outta that chair. Heck i think i could have giving better objectives then bush. which is pretty sad. lotta mistakes by my book. |

NO. It is useless bec. there's nothing worth fighting for there besides the US's greed for OIL. Lives and more money for oil.? not worth it. NO IT SHOULD NOT GO ON. |

Definately not. Remember that the reason for US involvment were to remove Iraq weapons of mass destruction? Well, there were no WMDs and as such the UN were right to condemn Americas actions, so US involvement is not and was never justified. It is now time for America to once again admit defeat and for the Bush administration to admit they entered Iraq under false pretences and apologise not only to the people of America but to all the innocent people of Iraq who have suffered as a result of Americas actions.
To yag: You do realise Iraq had nothing to do with Sept 11?" “The hardest part of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror." - George Bush. That quote kind of destroyed your argument. Thanks for playing. |
