aren't you tired of the way it looks. we've had it that way for quite some time now, isn't it time for change? that's what this country seems to be about, bringing change to the world.

Considering our flag is the most recognizable symbol of the Western world - I'm gonna have to say no. And I own a flag store. Changing the flag would mean big bucks for me. But still, I'd have to say leave it the way it is. |

Usually flags are changed to remark great changes in the government system.
For example Germany changed its flag after the WW2, but did not return the prevous(of the time of Kaiser) but choose a new one.
Russia changed the flag after the revolution, when became USSR, and then when USSR fell returned to the old flag used at the time of Zar.
France changed its flag in 1789.....and today that flag(the revolutionary flag, the blue-white-red) is still used
Italy removed the simbol of the king from the flag when republic won over kingdom in a poll.
But usually Nations don't change their flags easly, so except you want some kind of very important changes in the politic system of your country, you can not hope in a change of flag, maybe only you will see more stars on it.....this happened a lot of times.... |
