Signs of worlds end?

Nostradamus Predicted 9/11
Nostradamus may have lived in the sixteenth century, but if you believe what his followers say (and I would encourage you not to), his gaze extended far into the future. He's been credited with predicting numerous major world events such as the great London fire of 1666, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and the Iranian revolution of 1979.

Of course, the big problem with Nostradamus's predictions is that he's never very specific about anything. You can never tell he's predicted something before the event actually happens. Everything becomes clear only in hindsight. And when I say 'clear,' I mean that in the most ambiguous, murky sense.

Soon after 9/11 an email began to circulate around claiming that he had foretold the terrorist attacks. A number of 'genuine Nostradamus quatrains' were offered as proof of this claim. There were a couple of different versions of these quatrains that got passed around, but the most popular set read as follows:

In the City of God there will be a great thunder,
Two brothers torn apart by Chaos,
while the fortress endures,
the great leader will succumb.

The third big war will begin when the big city is burning.

On the 11th day of the 9 month,
two metal birds will crash into two tall statues
in the new city,
and the world will end soon after.

Wow! Sure sounds like Nostradamus nailed that one. Just one problem. These quatrains don't appear in any of Nostradamus's writings. He never wrote them. So he can't get credit for them.

The final five lines appear to have been written after 9/11 by an anonymous prankster. More intriguing, however, are the first four lines. They were written before 9/11 by a college student named Neil Marshall. He included them in an article in which, ironically enough, he was debunking Nostradamus. He wanted to show that if you write something vague enough it can be interpreted to mean almost anything. Evidently he succeeded a little too well in his imitation of Nostradamus. (Or maybe Neil possesses hidden powers that he was never aware of. Maybe he's the next Nostradamus!)

Numerous people were taken in by these phony Nostradamus quatrains, and interest in Nostradamus rose to an all-time high. For a brief while his name became the most popular search term on all the major internet search engines. And I bet that's something that not even Nostradamus predicted would ever happen.

I cannot answer to the first prophecy....but to the one about the 11th day of the 9th month.....that one has been proven to be a forgery that someone since 9/11 produced.

I think it was the History Channel that did a story on it.

But to the end of days????????

Time will tell!

I am more concerned with the magnetic shift and the bees dying off as a symptom of strange days ahead!

alot of prophecies are relevant to many people at any time , it really depends on where you live and what you believe .

Personally, I see some credence in Nostradamus and his visions. There are many skeptics regarding his prophecies, so it's difficult to know who's right and who's wrong.

One thing I believe about Nostradamus is his inability to tell time ! He was not very accurate about when visions would occur, just the fact that they would occur, so I question the accuracy of your writing in an exact date for 9/11 ! I believe too, that you or someone has taken liberties of the original text of Nostradamus, I don't recall that his writings were ever that concise.

This poses another question that needs to be thought of as well. The day chosen to destroy the WTC might just have been because of the prediction. What better way to strike even more fear into people than makeig such a prediction come true.

New city culd have been another place but New York fits well.
September eleven is a very good time to really scare yu.
Two brothers also could mean what is happening now and not
when the towers went down. Two brothers also might mean the two sects of Islam that are definately masacuring each other. The east verses the west definately is at play now.

Time is relitive so near the end might be more than your lifetime and even your childrens and their shildrens life time.
It is said that nothing lasts forever so the end must be on its way and has been for millions of years now. No mater how you look at it each day brings us closer to the end.

Which quatrain are you referring to, I have several books of Nostradamus' prophecies and I don't recall that one.

I don't think the world will end cuz of that....really scary though. I think it is coincidence. Or at least the begging of the world ending. But I doubt it.

No one but God knows what the future has for the beings. The science of the unknown is humans dream forever. The best anybody can do is to predict based on history facts

The reference to 9/11 is TOTALLY bogus-read an actual Nostrodamus book and that's nowhere in there.
