Since the Somali pirates are saying they are targeting US ships and plan to slaughter the crews,?

shouldn't we slaughter them and their families first? I will gladly volunteer to do that job.

Pirates are terrorists and making easy money. Last year it was reported that pirates took in more than 34million in ransom money.

These people are criminals and what happened last week was a good thing. Maybe others will learn to respect the law of the land. If not you will be getting every Tom, D i c k, and Harry doing the same thing on the high seas.

The US should address threats to its interests, such as its shipping.

So attacking any training camps might be a good idea.

I'd prefer to leave the families out of it, if possible.

Your military and I with you on that. But some pinhead it was reported on the news that the pirates are not terrorist that they are criminals.
so it a police or a law enforcement problem. so you will soon receive your badges. just like the Korea war or Police action.

The answer is 'NO'. We should, however, target their boats look for the ones that aren't carrying fishing poles or nets and blow them the hell up and arrest the survivors.

pretty much, but you gotta remember we aren't allowed to have video games where we shoot black people, so how the hell are we going to do it fo real? Bullets are cheap, buying boats seems to not be.
