My husband graduates in July and I was just wondering on family day what goes on...oh he is in the Marines if that matters.

Don't go to that damn restaurant! It's a long line for just-ok food.
Basically, you et to walk around and see what goes on at bootcamp. Go look for a gear watch to screw with, check out the o-course, OR meet his drill instructors at their squad bay! I made my parents walk from the parade deck over to 3rd battalion squad bays. Further than I thought.
I'm headed down in June to see a friend graduate. Blues are a definite for this thing.
Oh, and 4-packs of razors are $1.50 at the recruit PX. Send him in and be sure to rape those deals for all their worth! It's the only time you'll ever see them again... unless theivery is your thing. |

It's been 9 years since I went but we watched a video on boot camp and the Marine Corps, had dinner with him, and got to walk around the depot a little bit with him as a tour guide. Family day was only an afternoon so not too much time. |

i believe its basically where you get to hang out on base with your husband most of the day but he will probably have to stay the night there. You can go shopping at the base stores, get pictures taken, eat food, etc. Graduation was the next day |
