Soldier going to Korea?

I will be going to Korea shortly in the army and I do not know how to go about getting a phone/internet. I heard Korea won't let us use USA companies anymore. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks!!

You can purchase a cell phone when you get to Korea and get coverage while there. They will have phone and internet service at the base.

When I was there in '04-'05, many people got phone service through Vonage, so you might want to look into that as well.

DOOM

While you're there, get a quad-band GSM phone (assuming you're going to get a cell phone). You'll be able to use it anywhere in the world, and will only have to switch service providers when you PCS.
