Soldiers are the present MRE'S (Meals Rejected by Ethiopians) any good...?

I had them years ago when you really had to be starving to actually consider eating them.

Most of the are pretty good. There is a variety of different meal options, so personal preferences make up a lot of it. But they are actaully a lot better than they used to be. In all honesty, if you eat them all the time you do start to get a little tired of them, but thas not because they taste bad.

I wouldn't buy one, but I'd still rather have an MRE than a Jimmy Dean.

You know, I had one not too long ago, and their not that bad, their nutrition value ain't so bad either.

They're pretty good. Much better then they were in the late 90s when I first had the "three fingers of death" MRE. There is a lot of variety and they add meals fairly often to keep it from getting too awful. They even have some good vegetarian meals like cheese tortolini that comes with cranberry applesauce. Some of these new MREs are better than what the mess cooks used to slop together a decade ago.

They are not that bad. Some are better than others though. The beef patty for example, you can push the meat with your fork and a off white juice will come out. Tastes ok though, just gives you heartburn. Avoid the eggs with turkey sausage.
