Space A Flights...............?

I have heard a little bit about Space A flights and was wondering if anyone has traveled this way, where to get more info, and how it was traveling this way?
Also if your sponsor is deployed can you still travel Space A?

If the AD member is deployed for longer than 120 days then you qualify to fly Space A CONUS to CONUS or CONUS to OCONUS on your own. you will need a command sponsored letter from his command also stating that he is gone for longer than 120 days. You need one for each round trip flight you take.

You can sign up 60 days in advance but usually do it around 30 days. You can have to wait several days due to delays on flights or no room. You will be flying Cat 5 usually so that means other people can bump you. Don't try to fly in the summer because that is when everyone does it and it can be hard getting flights to places. Better times are Sept to early December, then mid January to end of May. Make sure you figure 1 week to get there and 1 week to get back. You usually only fly into military bases except for a few flights that go to commercial airports. Standard rule is never leave the terminal until the last flight has been gone longer than 1 hour in case there is dealys.

Traveling space A is good and bad. if you have dates you HAVE to be back by or get there by then i would not recommend flying space A. You can fly with out your sponsor but they have to get a special letter, then you will be in Cat V. But if you travel with your sponsor on reg leave you move up in CATs
