It is so funny that you say this... I was just talking to a friend who is a social worker, and she was telling me that there was a period of time where the US when to Mexico and Puerto Rico to recruit people for the military. These people were brought over, and yet, they could barely speak the English language.
The US is, after all, the place to better yourself, right?
Equal opportunity. |

I agree if they came here for a better life they should first have to join the military. We should be rounding up all those illegals and sending them to Iraq. We need more people in the military and that would be showing your willingness to support the country you want to live in. |

Pretty good idea. Make sure they have to serve 4 years before they can be able to benefit from the education system of the military.
Also to Lexi: Almost 3/4 the Military is Republican or plays favoritism to the conservatives. |

Even if a foreign national wanted to join the US military he/she could not unless they possessed already (meaning prior to wanting to join) a Green Card. So, I really don´t know what your talking about. Feel free to contact me if you know something I don´t!!!! |

Oddly enough i have family members who have done that ^_^ (except they joined the Army and Air-force) and a couple of friends in the Marines who are immigrants and are in the process of becoming citizens. |

& after signing that contract, they'll have better lives than many of us who were born here: free traveling, benefits, insurance, healthcare...Hell they'll be better off than us. We all should sign a contract too. |

All Branches require US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status with I-551
Note for iamtooproud. Puerto Rico is part of the United States. As for Mexico, there are people that think the government reads our minds with alien technology too. |

Let us think about this. Since you dont have to be a citizen to serve, let the armed forces recruit in foreign countries. In twenty years the ranks will be filled with foreigners. To make things more effecient, lets organize some into strictly spanish speaking units. Is it starting to sink in? Are you starting to get the picture? The Romans thought this was a dandy idea, to create legions from foreigners, let them serve. After the Republic they abolished national service for Romans, and let barbarians earn their citizenship by serving in the army. Can you guess how it turned out? No, foreigners serving isnt the best idea, just let letting convicts serve doesnt work. You have to preserve the cultural integrity of a nation. |

Here's another question right back at you: Why would anyone want to come to America if they had to join the Marines? And, as an added bonus, get shipped over to Iraq, where we REALLY don't need to be, and most likely get served a premature death in the form of a bomb/bullet/etc.
And why would they force immigrants into service? Unless they're illgal, which thay shouldn't be our country anyways. So, one last question: what's your question? |

Why the hell are you so damn ignorant? Not all ******* immigrants are Mexicans 1. and 2. not all of them are taking away jobs from self-righteous proud-*** Americans like you who are out fighting a war of deceit for an evil, idiot little man who thinks himself king!!!! |
