THIS WILL COST a lot of money but hire an Attorney to have the charges expunged from you record and the court system then go see another recruiter. Good Luck and hope you have 1000's of dollars to spend and maybe still not get in And prob should not be allowed to join anyway.

Ummm... they all use the same play book buddy. Try the Salvation Army... if the US Army won't take you, I doubt no one else will either.
This is an excellent case of the younger generation not using their head in thinking about the future! Tell me... were any of those six acts of stupidity worth it? |

IT's the same army everywhere dummy. You can try but you won't get in. |

The recruiter you spoke to probably entered you into the data base and put you on the "DNE" (Do Not Enlist) roster. You won't be able to join any branch. If you do, and you've withheld that information prior to joining you will be discharged with a General Discharge under less than honorable conditions and given a re-enlistment code of RE-4 (barred from every joining again). |

nope. your file is on record electronically to prevent people form attempting to do what you are wanting to do.. lie and cheat your way in.
the minute you give up your SS # to a new recruiter, he will punch that it and you will be flagged. |

Its the same army. |

The US Army. US as in the United States. Nationwide, same rules. |

No, it's the same standards anywhere. |

Duh!! If the Army turned you down at one recruiting office, what makes you think the other offices don't have the same computer? |

Changing towns wont change your criminal record. Sorry but youre out of luck. |

It will work if you are willing to go a bit farther than 20 minutes away. Havana is 6 hours away if you are willing to hijack a plane, and they will certainly let you enlist. I think you also might be an ideal candidate for the Romanian Armed Forces. And don't give up on the possibility of joining up and proudly serving the the glorious army of Argentina. |

Not likely. You can try though. |

you will not be able to join in any town you go to.its best not to try any other branch either most have the same set of rules when it comes to misdemenors |

Yes. |

If you have a record it is my understanding the Military as a whole doesn't want you. Going somewhere else will do you no good as they will do a background check and find your past the same as the others. However you could check with the other branches maybe, possibly one of the others might consider you.
Today they want a different kind of people from what they wanted say 20-40 years ago. |

No. Stop committing crimes and get your s**t together son. Then try again. |

Umm. Unfortunantly my friend that will not work. They are now allowed to overlook one or two now because of the problems with recruiting but you probably won't be able to get a waiver for six. Sorry dude. |

It will be the same in every town. Maybe JUST MAYBE, check into the National Guard.. The NG isnt as picky sometimes, do the NG for 6 months and you will be able to go Active Army much easier.. Cant guarantee what if the Guard will let you in depending on your charges. But it's worth a shot.. |

Depending on what the misdemeanors were, you may not even be allowed to handle a firearm. That will automatically and permanently disqualify you from any military service.
Did you try talking with a recruiter to see if there is any way past this problem? If you are not acting up any more, waivers are possible for some things. |
|

slushie...

They won't accept you anywhere else. You can try going back to the recruiter and ask if there is anything you can do to join or anything to assist the army. |

Same thing. Criminal records are nation wide. |

were any of those 6 misdemeanors for fraud? that IS what you are proposing, you realize that, don't you?
get your act together. why would you want to join the army? it would appear that you might just have problems with authority.
and to be honest, my son, daughter and son-in-law are all active duty. i would hate to think that one of my kids, whom i love very much might ever have to depend on someone who has as little respect for the law,as it appears that you do, to watch their backs. |

you can try. or you can get in trouble again, go to court and ask instead of jail time you enlist.
different recruiters hold different opinions on who they want in their army. some dont want gangster types in their army, others see the army as a way to make someone a better person. so you may have that going for you.
notice i say THEIR army. many recruiters make it personal. maybe if you appeal to them, it could help.
i'd give it a shot, but dont hold your breathe. try different branches as well |

Dont listen to what these people are telling you half of them are probably or never were enlisted. I am enlisted at the current time. You can goto a different time or different state near by. Any questions just let me know. |
