My Mom is going to leave April 15 ( 15 days b4 my bday) to go to basic training. She is going to be gone for 6 months and I've never been away from my Mom that long (Im a Mommy's Girl) and I can't get over the fact she is leaving. She said I can write letters to her but I wont be able to stand the chance I wont be able to see her until October/November. Can somebody plz give me advice as to what I can do while she's gone.

You will probably be able to see her at her basic training graduation after about 2 1/2 months. This will be a good opportunity for you to become more independent. You'll be okay. Write lots of letters. Get involved in extra curricular activities at school or a job over the summer. Good luck.
